How do we get there?
We have developed some simple text-based training detailing the three phases a church needs to go through to launch, manage, and grow into a Trauma-Equipped Church. Once we see a strong missional ministry, we move into developing a healing discipleship ministry that heals individuals and communities of unresolved trauma. Finally, we move toward becoming a Certified Trauma-Equipped Church once all three ministries have matured.
At the root of ministry development tools is our IssueToAction web-based cultural transformation system, which we have proven for 40 years with companies of all sizes. This tool is free and at the root of all trauma-equipped team innovation, change, and improvement.
The Trauma-Equipped Church Strategy Presentation, Abridged
This is the first presentation that created the idea of a trauma-equipped church. There have been many presentations since, mainly focusing on implementation strategies and rapid growth into areas such as planting mission points, microchurches, churches, and centers.
Three Ministries Are Needed To Build A Trauma-Equipped Church
The easiest ministry to develop is Missional Ministry, requiring the least amount of cultural shift in your church. Healing Discipleship requires both inreach and outreach ministries. Serving the underserved trauma marketplace as a Certified Trauma-Equipped Church requires the most cultural growth.

Testimony: Why I Do This
Over the years, I came upon a ministry model I call "healing discipleship." This is a long-term commitment to obedience in Jesus, as we dedicate ourselves to a Christ-like emotional and spiritual healing process. I've done several of these healing discipleships across my life. Now, I help others do the same, starting with online training, then coaching, and helping you lead groups at your local church. The public wants the church to 'rise and shine' to help those in need overcome trauma. 15,000 Facebook followers agree. Trauma is a spiritual wound first. Psalm 34:18 says, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." Even non-Christian counselors know this about a crushed spirit, as we are triune beings, Body, Mind, and Spirit. I hope the Spirit moves you in these initial courses. There are more coming.
